"After the earthquake and then every year since then I go back to work at a clinic there. So, I guess it wasn't probably until my mature adult life that I've kind of grasped that Haitian cultural concept or identity, part of myself. I speak minimal Creole and it just mostly medical terminology that I need to use, and my French is much better, I did always, I studied French in high school and college and I have been speaking on and off since then."
